SUNDAY STEALING

27 September 2015

Do you believe that Walt Disney is really frozen?
Well, from what I've read, some folks believe he's really warm wherever he is right now.  Uncle Walt was not the friendly grandpa we knew and loved.

Do you believe its easy to forgive and forget?
Easier to forgive than forget.

When you feel like running away from it all who do you call?
I just think about it.  Nobody to call.  No place to run.

Is there anyone who knows your entire life story?
No.  Some come close, but nobody knows it all.  My mother used to, but no more.

Have you had to have stitches at all in the last year?
I only had to have stitches once, in my head, in the 1980s.  I slipped and fell on some ice.  They stitched me up at the local ER and a doctor from Chile who was living with us at the time removed the stitches later.  He then went on to become Pinochet's physician!  oh...I forgot episiotomy stitches.  Five times.

Which is coming next: Christmas or your birthday?
Christmas.

Have you ever been a clown for Halloween?
No.  I am not a big fan of clowns, my friendship with Mary Wise notwithstanding.

What time did you go to bed last night?
Well, I went  to sleep around 11, to bed at about 1:30.

When did you get up this morning?
5:30, when I remembered I forgot to write a journal entry last night.

When was the last time it rained?
Pardon me?  "Rain" is a term that has not been heard in California in years.

Are your finger nails painted at the moment?
I haven't painted my nails in over 20 years.. But my daughter-in-law had a very interesting set of nails last weekend.

Do you ever go hunting/fishing?
No.  Never.  I was traumatized by Bambi as a child!

Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?
Oh yes, and it was really dumb.  We had done some writing on anthropomorphism, giving life to inanimate objects. I remember I wrote something on what it feels like to be an eraser and how good it felt to have my head scratched.  I was a lonely kid at that time (about 4th grade) and one time in a bathroom stall, I looked at the toilet paper dispenser and saw a face.

I decided it could listen to me.  I called it "Know-y" (for "nobody knows") and whenever I needed "someone" to talk to, I went to the bathroom and talked to Know-y.  Isn't that the most pathetic story you've ever heard?

Which parent do you look most like?
Probably my father.

Do you have any friends who are famous?
Sure.  Steve Schalchlin and his partner Jim Brochu.  Oh yeah, and that Gerrold guy too.

Do you use eBay to buy or sell?
I have bought a few things on eBay, but have never tried to sell anything.

Is music a daily part of your life?
It used to be.  It isn't any more.

Is your self esteem high or low?
It has always been low, though I am told I am awesome.
