WHAT'S THAT WET STUFF?

This is what my cell phone told me that the weather was when I woke up.

The Today Show weather report showed this:

This is what our patio has looked like all morning.

Not exactly "flooding" but at least wet.  When was the last time the patio got wet?  The New York Times reports that this is the driest in a century.

It may not be what I love, which is listening to the sound of real rain falling on the ground, but at least it will keep the basil plant watered.

And it's the perfect day to hunker down in the recliner with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, a bowl of oatmeal and a book to read.
