WHEW -- 56!

25 June 2021

We are having lunch with Char today, to celebrate our 56th anniversary.  We thought about going out to dinner, but decided that we'd rather go to Fenton's, where I frequently meet Char for lunch (my favorite place to get a crab salad sandwich!).  Ned is driving us because he doesn't want Walt or me driving on the freeway -- and he'd like to see Char too.

Our actual anniversary is the 26th, but since that will be Saturday 9, I spent the day making a photo album of wedding photos for Facebook and thought I would share them here.

My apartment was across the street from a fire station.
My father got a newspaper photographer to come and take a photo,
which was then printed in the paper.

This is the Newman Hall chapel

Father Tim Toohig married us.  We were friends.
He had been ordained two weeks before and we were his first wedding.

We left the reception in Walt's 1953 Rambler
