Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud).  Cheers to all of us thieves!

1. Ignoring nutrition, could you live off veggies for the rest of your life?
I suppose I could, but I definitely would not be happy about it.

2. Elaborate on a way you have volunteered?
I have done a lot of volunteering for all sorts of organizations, but the job that popped into my head when I read this question was the year I volunteered at the homeless shelter here in Davis.   I kept track of who stayed the night at the home, and I helped if men (there were no women in this shelter) needed instruction using the computer.  I quit when we got a new boss who made the job so complicated and difficult, I decided it wasn't worth it to continue.

3. Can you walk in heels, or do you feel awkward in them?
I haven't worn heels in decades.  I can't even wear shoes with a 1/2" heel any more.

4. Any TV shows you sit down weekly to watch?
I watch a lot of TV.  Walt and I watch Jeopardy every night.  I watch Outlander (when it is on), most of the medical shows, This is Us, two of the NCISes, Masterpiece Theater, and a bunch of other shows.

5. Will you tell someone if there's something in their teeth?
Depends on what it is and how annoying it is.  Big piece of spinach, yes; bread crumbs from a sandwich, probably not.

6. Do you ever actually make your bed?
I don't have a bed.  I sleep on the couch under some blankets.  Sometimes I fold the blankets when I get up.

7. Do you make an effort to eat healthy?
Sadly, no -- but that's why my son lives here.  He makes sure we always have a healthy dinner.

8. What kind of booze did you last take shots of?
I can't remember the last time I had any hard liquor.  I had a glass of wine a year or so ago, at Char's birthday party.

9. What's something you want to purchase next time you're at the mall?
Well, it's unlikely I'm going to be at a mall in the foreseeable future (I can't remember the last time I was in a mall).  As for what I'd purchase...can't think of anything.  I have become an on-line shopper.

10. What were you doing at 10:00 this morning?
As I write this it is 9:45 a.m., so at 10:00 this morning I will be finishing it and getting it posted.

11. What do you miss the most about your past?
If we're talking about my childhood past, it's the way my mother took care of everything (nothing more "comfortable" than having her take care of you when you are sick).  For my teenage past, I miss the group of friends I had.  My before marriage past, I miss the job I had at UC Berkeley.

12. Last time you were really happy?
When we met Tom and the girls at a park halfway between Davis and Santa Barbara.  I had not seen the grandkids in over a year, and it was nice to have a couple of hours with them.

13. Did you get a full 8 hours of sleep last night?
I rarely do and never get 8 hours at a stretch.  Lasts night I went to sleep at 10, woke up at midnight, was up until 3, then back to sleep until 6.  I will have a one hour nap when I finish writing this.  So that's 7 hours in 24.  About my normal night.

14. Have you spoken to your mother or father today?
My father died in 1987.  My mother doesn't know who I am (and she's in a nursing home, so I won't see her until next week)

15. Are you good at filling awkward silences?
I am terrible at filling awkward silences.  I am, for example, terrible at visiting with my mother so I love it when Ned or Jeri come with me because they are so good at filling silences.
