HUGS

9 April 2021

One of the things so many of us have missed during the pandemic was the ability to give someone a hug.  I remember the day I saw Shelly (of Ellen and Shelly) at the dentist.  It was shortly after Ellen died and the two of us were masked but we had to keep a distance and the one thing I wanted to do was hug her, but could not.  We were trained by Brasilians and learned to hug rather than shake hands.  It's been a difficult year.

Over the year I have thought many times of hugging my mother (even though when I finally did see her, she wasn't interested).

Now we are slowly starting to return to normal, or whatever our "new normal" is going to be.  We aren't ready for a full-on hug fest, but with friends who are also vaccinated, we can start to think about hugging again.
