THE ELECTION

October 23, 2020

I am writing this before the 2nd presidential debate.  Less than two weeks before the election, here are thoughts from Country Dew on what she wants in life:

* Accessible, affordable health care (I don't care if it's public or private, just there and available)
* Equality for all (don't care what sex, gender, color, etc., you are, everyone should have equal rights, no one is "less than" anybody else. I don't care who marries whom or what happens in anybody's house, so long as they aren't harming one another.)
* People working 40 hours a week should not have to live in poverty.
* CEOs shouldn't receive 3,000 times the wages of their workers
* Children shouldn't have to worry about being shot at school.
* No corporate welfare (subsidies)
* No government interference in healthcare decisions for anybody, especially women.
* Everyone should have access to higher education if they want it.
* Clean air, clean water, clean world.
* Equal pay.
* No lobbyists.
* Term limits for all politicians and the Supreme Court.
* Homes and jobs for veterans. (Nobody should be homeless unless it is by choice.)
* Better funding for child welfare services, national parks, the space program, etc., and less funding for military.
* Regulations on television and radio, similar to what it was in the 1970s, for example.

I have not been watching as much news as I have been over the past few months.  I am getting more and more depressed as I watch the #45 cult drink their kool aid and talk about him adoringly.

545 of the children who were kidnapped by the government can't be returned to their parents because nobody knows who the parents are or where they are.  Five Hundred and Forty-Five children of all ages, including nursing babies.  Ripped out of their mothers' arms and the mothers sent out of the country, with no knowledge of where their babies are.  How can people ignore that?

Now we know #45 has a bank account in China.  What would have happened if Obama had a bank account in China?  But does anybody care?

I see the poll numbers.  I don't want to see the poll numbers.  They used to be further apart, with Biden in the  lead, but now the numbers are coming closer together.  And now 45 wants Barr to start an investigation on Biden, less than 2 weeks before the election.  He has no charges other than that he has "been a criminal for 25 years" but won't say why he has been a criminal.  This stunt is what got Hillary defeated.

He says Biden, a devout catholic, will end religion and bring an end to Christmas.  That doesn't even make any sense.

FORTY FIVE states have an increase in positive Covid tests and deaths are now over 230,000 (there are only 58,000 names on the Vietnam wall).  Positive cases are over 8 million with no decrease on any chart.  But he calls the doctors "idiots" and says we are "rounding the corner."

Does this look like "rounding the corner"?

I don't know what I will do if he wins reelection.  All I want are the same things that Country Dew wants and I don't see any of them happening unless we change president.

I don't drink.  I might have to take up drinking if he is reelected.
