1) This song was chosen because yesterday was Black Friday, the traditional day of sales. Have you begun your Christmas shopping? Almost finished. Just one more to get.
All without leaving the house. Walt had wine, I had water. I'm not sure
what Ned and Marta were drinking, but it was not alcohol. The dogs were crazy all afternoon, smelling the
turkey as it cooked. They were THRILLED to have leftovers to lick
before the dishwasher was loaded. Enough that we will be sick of turkey before the
end of next week. I watched the Cal-Stanford "Big Game." I'm
a Cal fan. Damn Stanford (24-23) I can't think of anybody. What a silly question! More than a quarter
of a million dead from COVID-19. Unemployment at an all time high.
Positive COVID test at an all time high. Hospitals unable to take
more patients because they are too full. The only successful thing this
year was the election of a new president. I have at least heard of David Bowie, but
when I googled his songs, I didn't recognize any of them, though "I'm Afraid of
Americans" certainly has interesting lyrics. "Horton Hatches an Egg." It's got an elephant, it's got someone going out of the way to do something nice for someone and it has a happy ending.
