Today in My History
2000: No Entry
2 May 2020
to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9
questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other
times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random
questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and
leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate
rules. Now on to this week's questions.
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
1) In this song, Bobby Goldsboro celebrates the "little things" that delight him, like seeing his girl smile. What are some little every day things that reliably lighten your mood?
Always the squirrel. Now he has started
climbing up our screen door [our brand new screen door! ] He is
such fun to watch.
Oh definitely music. I am a perennially
obese klutz and I don't even really like sports to watch all that much.
Not at all. I'm even too shy to try it when I am alone.
4) Back in the States, Goldsboro (again with Orbison) opened for the Rolling Stones in New York. Which band did you listen to more recently, the Stones or the Beatles?
Neither. I was never into that kind of
music. I suppose I listened to the Beatles more, but I was never a "fan."
Wit is a good answer. Someone with a good
sense of humor, who also works well.
Only paint by number .... and I wasn't any good
at that! The artistic gene (as well as the musical gene) passed me by,
though lots of my relatives are/were artists. In facts, my aunt was
working as an artist at the fair on Treasure Island when she met my father, and
then introduced him to my mother.
Since I'm not leaving the house, it doesn't
matter what my hair looks like. It's too long but when we no longer have
to shelter in place, I'll finally get it cut. I wear is short and it is
naturally wavy, so it does what it wants to...when it's short enough.
It's been so long, I can't remember.
Definitely a woman. Women are much better
conversationalists. (A gay man would be OK too, for the same reason.)

He's getting braver!
I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!
