Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud) Cheers to all of us thieves!

   Adapted from Friday Five

1. Have you ever had a vacation ruined by the weather or did you just work around it?

We have had bad weather on vacations -- anybody who went camping with the Blackfords knows "rain."  But we just work around it...even this time.

2. What small changes do you feel people could make to give the planet a fighting chance against global warming?

"A" small change?  Recycle.

3. Are you adversely affect by the weather, such as SAD?

I am not aware of it, but in this part of California you probably wouldn't be because our "seasons" aren't as defined as they are in other places in the country.

4. How is the weather where you are and have you seen drastic changes in it during your life time?

We have some triple digit heat in the summertime, perhaps more than we used to have.  I don't notice anything drastic here, but in California as a whole, sure, with more forest fires and flooding.

5. Do you think we can stop global warming or is it too late?

Good lord, I don't know.  Seems to me some scientists have said it's too late, but surely we can make improvements!  (The 3 month lock-down already cleared the air in So. California!)

6. What could you do for an hour or so today that you would really enjoy doing?

I already did it.  I watched Hamilton.  Still feeling weepy.

7. What could you do for an hour today that might improve your life in the future?

Hmmm.... continue to wash my hands a lot (surely now that takes an hour a day, in 20 second increments)

8. What could you do for an hour today that could strengthen or improve a skill you would like to be able to rely on?

We are having a 4th of July dinner -- hot dogs, potato chips, stuffed eggs and apple pie.  Every time I make a pie, I hope that the crust will be better than the last time I made it, so that would be my hope for a skill today.

9. What could you do for an hour today that would make your living space more pleasant to live in?

Put away the laundry.

10. What could you do for an hour today that would improve your relationships with loved ones?

Spend a nice time with Ned, Marta and Walt tonight, text or email the family that we normally see on the 4th, but can't this year because of the virus.  Play on-line Scrabble with the granddaughters.

11. Do you like, dislike, or pay no attention to the wind?

It depends on how strong it is, but generally speaking I like wind.

12. Do you have allergies or sinus made worse by the wind?

I don't think so.  I have a sneezing fit every morning, wind or no wind, but once that is over, I'm fine for the rest of the day.

13. Have you ever been caught in a big wind (not a hurricane or tornado)?

Oh yeah.  I think once it was so strong I put off a trip to San Francisco because it was so difficult to control the car on the freeway.

14. When was the last time you flew a kite?

Me I don't think ever, but I stood with my son a few years ago while he flew a kite for his daughter, who enjoyed it for about 20 seconds and then ran off to do something else.  He father remarked "I remember this as being more fun when I was younger."

15.Would you like to have the power of flight?

Nah.  I'd be afraid I'd crash.

Happy Birthday, Tom!!
