THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES

20 February 2020

The nice thing about birthdays is when they get to be celebrated over a long period of  time.

Today was celebration 2, lunch with three friends from the old Women's Health days.  We hadn't seen each other in many years until a year or so ago when Marsha contacted me and we met for coffee.  We had such a good time catching up that we did it again and then went for lunch a couple of times, adding Barb and Ester too.  So the Women's Health lunches are now becoming a regular thing and I'm so happy about that.  I was very close to these women when I worked in the office for 12 years and have been sad all these years at losing touch with them.

We went to The Mustard Seed restaurant here in Davis.

There weren't a lot of people here and we pretty much had this room to ourselves.  I naturally ordered the crab eggs benedict, which was perfect.

We had a wonderful time and just sat and chatted for nearly 2 hours (had to watch the time, since there is only 2 hour parking downtown!), but it was so nice to be with them all again.

After we finished our lunch, the waitress brought out a cake that Barb had bought in Vacaville to take to lunch.

It was fabulous and a lovely surprise.

We had hoped nurse practitioner Lisa was going to join us, but at the last minute she had something come up and could not.  But we have already made plans for our next lunch, next month .... this time at Lisa's house so we know she will be there!
