Today in My History
to the Grindstone
18 April 2020
Welcome to Saturday 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
Saturday 9: I Don't Care (2019)
1) This song begins with Ed Sheeran admitting he's not enjoying the party he's at. What's something you have to do this weekend, but don't want to do?
Well, given that we are all still on lock-in I guess what I have
to do this weekend is stay in the house!
All of my social gatherings have been cancelled because of the pandemic. I have not seen a stage show in weeks because all of the theaters have cancelled their seasons. Also, lunch with my former co-workers at Women's Health has been cancelled.
3) Both Ed and Justin conclude that this party -- and everything else -- is okay because they're with the ones they love. Who in your life always makes you feel comfortable and content?
Pretty much anybody in my family.
I used to be. I still enjoy the show if I happen to see it
but I stopped following it regularly years ago.
My favorite Disney movies have always been Bambi and
Dumbo. Of the newer ones, I love The Lion King.
Que veux-tu que je dise?
(I was a French major)
7) Justin can solve a Rubik's Cube in less than two minutes. Are you good at puzzles?
I'm great at jigsaw puzzles, but terrible at other puzzles.
I couldn't solve a Rubik's Cube in two days.
We are so fortunate to have Gavin Newsom as governor. He
understood the contagion of the Corona virus early on and we were the first
"stay in place" state, so we don't have as high a number of victims as we might
otherwise have had. Also, when he was mayor of San Francisco, he allowed
same sex marriage and he married my friends Ellen and Shelly.
I hope I gave one. Can't think of anything specific, though I did write a note to my sponsored child in Ghana letting her know what a nice photo I had received of her.

Ned picked a rose off of our rose bush for my desk.
I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!
