22 September 2019

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud) Cheers to all of us thieves!

These are from From Colloquium, which has not published since 2012

1. Last person you were in a car with?
Walt and I drove to the theater to see Comedy of Errors last night.

2. Any plans for tomorrow?
I am taking someone from Atria to visit my mother in the afternoon and then going to Sacramento to see Jack Gallagher, a local comedian.

3. Best friend or close friends?
Aren't they both the same?

4. Is tomorrow going to be a good day?
I hope so.

5. Ever thrown up in public?
Well there was this time that I went whale watching outside Seattle.  The weather was terrible and we all thought we were going to drown -- even the ship captain had to tie himself to the ship to keep from falling over.  When we got past all of the choppy parts and found the whales, the ship started rocking gently back and forth and that did it.  As I explained it, I "chummed the whales."  The first time I vomited over the side of the boat, the second time I made it to the bathroom and discovered I was not the ony person who had been sick...it was more pleasant to vomit over the side of the ship.

6. Whatís on your mind RIGHT NOW?
Whether I should make apple pie now or wait until tomorrow

7. Who was the last person you talked to?
Ned and I discussed how to fix the remote to my TV, which stopped working after it fell on the floor (he tried  taking the batteries out and put them back in again and that worked).

8. What is the WORST subject they teach at school?
It depends on what your likes and dislikes are.  I hated math, loved languages.  In MY high school, though, the worst subject was Sophomore biology.  The nun who taught it was too embarrassed to teach anything having to do with anything sexual.  She skipped so much of the text book that we had to take the class over again a year later for it to qualify for college prep.

9. Have you seen anyone lately that you donít get along with?
I don't think so.

10. What is your favourite color top to wear?
black or red

11. Have you ever been in a car accident?
A very minor one.

12. Whatís the closest thing to you thatís green?
the stamp on the postcard I received from a Swap Bot swap.

13. Where would you like to be right now?
I am happy where I am.

14. Is anything bugging you right now?
Not really.  I suppose I should be bothered by the mess in the house, trying to organize everything now that Ned and Marta re here, but I really am very "zen" about it -- I know it will all get done eventually and I am so pleased all the work Ned is doing around here.  (Of course politics always bothers me but I'm so tired of hearing about all of Trumps crimes that go unpunished)

15. Is life going right for you now?
Yes.  We got my mother to 100, Ned and Marta are moved here and are slowly settling in, and there are no traumas in my life at the moment.

16. Is there someone you care about more than yourself?
Of course.  My family.

17. What made you laugh today?
The movie Ned made for Lacie's 8th birthday.  I have a small role in it.

18. What was the last movie you watched?
The Poseidon Adventure

19. What was the last conversation you had about?
Walt and I were trying to remember how long ago it was that we first joined the internet here in Davis, the first group in town to have internet access...we got it for free for a year.  They were trying to figure out if they could get the whole town on the internet.  This many years later it's hard to believe there was a time when the internet was NOT available in Davis.

20. What were you doing at 7:00 this morning?
Wondering what I did that broke the new Dish remote when it fell on the floor.  Turns out it just needed to have the batteries re-installed.

21. Do you like your hair long or short?
Short.  It is semi-wavy and when it is cut in a "pixie cut" it looks best and I don't have to do anything to it but wash it.

22. Do you like the rain
Love it!
