Hi! I'm your host Bev Sykes of the blog "Funny the World". . Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud)  Cheers to all of us thieves!

Whew.  That's over.  Let's get back to normal and use "safe" questions that won't offend anybody (I don't think).  Thanks, everyone, for your support.  And thanks, Sam, for this week's Saturday 9.

Stolen from Facebook

1) What is your favorite TV show (currently)?
Well, since Outlander won't return until early next year, maybe my current favorite is NCIS-LA or New Amsterdam.

2) Would you like to be a child again?
Heck no.  Once was enough!

3) Has anyone ever told you that school times were the best period of his/her life? Would you say that to someone? Why?
Yes, I was told that.  I was also told that my years in a sorority (which I never joined) would be the best in my life.  And no, I would not tell that to someone else because it all depends. For some, school years are a real nightmare.  Looking back over my life, I would be hard pressed to name "the best period" of my life.

4) How's the weather?
Beautiful!  Sunny and just warm enough to be pleasant, cool enough not to be uncomfortable.

5) Do you like camping?
No.  We've gone camping several times and everyone else likes it, but I just endured. There are parts I enjoy, but mostly I don't. So glad it's not a possibility any more.

6) Do you believe in paranormal phenomena?
I think so. I can't think of anything definite but there is probably some paranormal phenomenon.

7) If you would create a holiday, what would it be called and how would we celebrate it? When would this holiday be?
Dementia day, but everybody would forget it.

8) What word(s) do you dislike? Can you tell why?
Right now "quid pro quo."  Probably for obvious reasons!

9) What color do you dislike? What do you associate with it?
Orange.  I had my colors done once and was told it was a TERRIBLE color on me.  And of course these days it has negative political connotations!

10) Do you believe in otherworldly creatures, eg. ghosts, etc?
Yes.  A story I wrote several years ago about ghosts in a home somewhere in North Carolina convinced me that yes, there are such things as otherworldly creatures.

11) Pick two of your favourite fictional characters. Where are they from (what movie, book, etc?) and why are they your favourite?
- Well, Claire and Jamie come as a set, fromm the "Outlander" series.  I've been involved in their world since I read the first book in 1991.
- As for a second fictional character, I gueess it would be Myron Bolitar in the Harlan Coben books.  He's a kind of detective, who has one of the weirdest best friends ever.

12) If you could change anything or add anything to your body would you? (this can be interpreted however, but, think, would you like to have fins or extra hands?)
I don't know.  Gills would be nice so I could breathe under water (since I'm afraid of using a snorkel)

13) What are some family traditions you have/had growing up? Do you still continue them, if yes, why, if no, why not?
My growing up was all family traditions, all of which have disappeared over the years, with deaths and marriages, etc.  But we are making new traditions.  I think.  I do miss my godfather showing up with a 2 lb box of See's candy on every holiday, though!

14) What do you think of tattoos? Do you have any?
I'm not a big fan of tattoos.  I've seen some I like and some that I hate.  I can't imagine having my body covered with tattoos.  I do not have any and would not get any.

15)  What is the most disgusting habit some people have?
Chewing with mouth open.

16)  If you could bring back one TV show that was cancelled, which would it be?
The West Wing.  I still wish we had a White House like that!

17) What was the most unsettling film you have ever seen?
I don't usually go to movies that I think are going to be "unsettling," but maybe Silence of the Lambs.  Haven't had fava beans since.

18) What book has impacted you the most?
I can't pick just one.  I love the "Outlander" series and reread it a lot.  My writing improves whenever I'm reading Steinbeck and I love "East of Eden."  I also aspire to be Erma Bombeck.

19) You're on Death Row and get one final meal: What is that meal and why do you choose it?
Roast leg of lamb, peas, mashed potatoes, and either pumpkin pie or cheesecake for dessert.  After that I'd probably be so uncomfortable death would be a relief!

20) What is the first profession you remember wanting to become as a child.
Probably a nurse, until I realized that I couldn't handle the smells!

(Just thought it was cute!)
