28 July 2019

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud) Cheers to all of us thieves!

 Questions from Durward Discussion.

Thanks to Kwizgiver for the suggestion.

1.  What is the nearest book to you?  Your Kindle does not count.
Jon Stewart's "Naked Pictures of Famous People."

2.  When was the last time you took a "me" vacation
Not really sure what constitutes a "me vacation."  If  that is a trip that I take by myself, I can't remember -- maybe five years or so ago when I went to Monterey to visit my friend Lynn.

3.  How many telephone numbers do you have?
Three.  Two land lines (one dedicated for just the internet) and a cell phone.  I don't even know the second land line number and it's totally superfluous.  I guess telephone access is going to change when Ned and Marta move in here.

4.  If you could fix one thing in the public school system, what is the one thing you would do immediately?
I would say
return music and drama to the schools, but Davis has very good programs for that.
Given the recent news about school lunches, I would say make certain that every child has access to school lunches, whether their parents can afford it or not.

5.  Are you a big tipper?
Probably bigger than average.  Comes from having a son who worked as a waiter for many years.

6.  Do you watch reality shows?
Some.  I avoid the mating-and-dating shows.  I have never seen an episode of
The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, for example.  Would not watch anything about marrying a stranger (remember that gawdawful show where the goal was to marry a millionaire that you'd never met before?)  But I do enjoy Amazing Race and food network shows

7.  Who is your favorite sports team player?
My granddaughter, who plays softball (age 11)

8.  If you could travel in a spaceship to any planet, which planet would you like to visit and why?
I'm not that adventurous.  I don't even want to go to the moon...and men have BEEN there before.

9.  When was the last time you sat in a church?
A friend's funeral a few weeks ago.

10.  Are there any aspects of blogging that annoy you?
Not really.  I truly love it.  But on nights when I have absolutely NOTHING to write, it bothers me that I feel the need to write something.  Saturday 9 and Sunday Stealing I think of as my "days off."

11.  When someone follows you on their blog or subscribes to your Facebook page, do you automatically follow and subscribe back?
I never know if someone follows Funny the World, but if someone follows me on Facebook I often follow back, though now that I have over 1,000 people I follow I often don't follow someone unless I recognize their name, or know some of the same people.

softball tournaments are boring when you aren't playing...

I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!
