THE HOURS CREEP ON APACE

30 August 2019

Today is the last full day before the yard sale and it will undoubtedly be as busy as yesterday was.  The day before started with my harvesting apples off the tree.

This is probably half of what was on the tree and the idea is to give them away free to yard sale shoppers.  We'll see how many of these are left and then fill the box again and share with Eldervilla.  One of our neighbors also came over and picked some.

It was a late start on things, with Jeri off at yoga in the morning and Ned and Marta arriving late morning, but they didn't stop until well into the night once they got started.  Things are actually starting to look organized, with tables ready to be filled...

...and junk kinda sorta organized to put on the tables, in categories.

This doesn't include the clothes Jeri sorted through yesterday...and the records Alice Nan, Walt and I sorted through in the afternoon.

Alice Nan found a  real gem -- her high school crush -- and it took all her willpower, but she did NOT take it home with her.

When people were winding down I went out and got some pizza for dinner and we had a nice dinner sitting on the patio around the new table that we acquired a couple of weeks (from someone who is herself downsizing).

After dinner it was back to pricing, in seriousness.

Then Ned went off on his bike to post flyers around town while the rest of us relaxed and had our ice cream bars.

Today will be more of the same and then on Saturday....let's hope someone even shows up.

Anybody need theater chairs?  Good price!

I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!
