18 August 2019

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. This feature originated and published on WTIT: The Blog. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. (Past hosts include: Our first - Judd Corizan, Mr. L, Kwizgiver and Bud) Cheers to all of us thieves!

Swap Bot asked people to post questions they would like to answer.  I copied and edited them all and put together this brief selection.

1) What do you enjoy about summer?
Not much.  I don't like the triple digit temps and the good TV shows are on hiatus.  But the days are getting shorter and soon it will be autumn, my best season.

2) Do you like snow? Why?
I like it to look at, to watch snowing, but I am not a "snow person" and have never skied or any other snow sport.  It does not snow where we live so I've never had to deal with
it.

3) What do you think about dogs?
I love dogs.  We are about to have two (when our son, his wife and dog move in).  We have a Chihuahua who has run the house for the past 11 years.  We fostered about 100 dogs for the SPCA over five years (until we adopted the Chihuahua who let us know that she would prefer to be an only dog).

4) Have you ever gotten lost?
Not seriously lost.  I always leave about 30 minutes for going to a new place to allow for getting lost.  Peggy and I did get seriously lost when we went to So. California and drove the same very long stretch of freeway about 4 times trying to find the right off ramp.

5) What are your favorite type of socks?
Multi colored soft sox  that you can find at the dollar store.  I wear them all the time.

6) What is your favorite style of shoes?
Berkenstocks.  They keep the arch on my foot and thus help my back.

7) What would you name your boat if you had one?
The "what were you thinking?"

8) What common misconception do you hate to hear repeated as fact?
Gays can be "cured."

9) What was the last shop you went into and what did you buy?
The last shop I went into was Nugget supermarket and I bought a week's supply of groceries.

10) What's your favourite thing to do to pass the time?
Watch TV while I'm messing around on the computer ... or sit and read.

11) What is a way to die that scares you the most?
long, lingering, painful, with no control of my body.

12) Travel or home body?
I have loved all the travel we have done, but these days I'm enjoying being a home body.

13) Have you ever gone to a Bingo hall?
I don't think so.

14) What is the longest plane trip you have taken?
36 hours to Perth, Australia (that included a 9 hour layover in Singapore).

15) Do you text more or call more? Why?
Text.  Actually, Jeri is about the only person I speak to on the phone...and one of the few that I text with as well.  When we want to chat, it's by phone, otherwise it's by text.
