Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we wipost 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!
April Love (1957). Unfamiliar with this week's song? Hear it here
1) In this song, Pat Boone sings that April love is a wonder reserved for the very young. Do you think the sensation of falling in love changes as we grow older?
Oddly enough, "Blue Christmas"
3) Pat was extremely busy in high school. He wrote for the school paper, ran track, and acted in school plays. Share a memory of your extracurricular activities during high school.
I, too, wrote for the newspaper and I was editor of the
yearbook for 3 years (sophomore editor, junior editor, editor)
Well, we are looking at 54 years and friends are all married
about the same length of time, or possibly a bit longer. Don't know
which ones are married the longest.
Not me, but our son is determined to move us out eventually.
We have been in this house since 1973.
I'm not really friendly with our neighbors, though I know
several of them. They have been here about as long as we have.
One neighbor now has a husband with dementia. His wife has to remind
him who she is each morning. On the other side are neighbors who have
not spoken with us for most of their time here. Not sure why.
These good Christians didn't even offer condolences when our sons died,
though when I had my head shaved to raise money for children's cancer, the
lady with the husband with dementia took up a neighborhood collection and
gave me about $300 from everyone. I was unbelievable touched.
Celebrities are "people" just like I am. I see no
problem with their expressing their opinions on politics, though I am
diametrically opposed to Boone's feelings on Obama and Trump,
No, though I worked in an ob/gyn clinic where I saw tons of
them. I had all my kids before ultrasounds.
Incredulous, then amused. Poor guy needs new glasses.
