17 Sept 2017

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing which originated on

WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. You may have heard the expression, “honor among thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we try to credit the blog that we stole it from, if possible. We also provide a link to the victim's questions in our "Previous Victims" widget. (It's our way of saying "Thanks!") Sometimes we edit the original meme, to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, to select the best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from recently asked questions from a previously post. Cheers to all of us thieves!

I found this on Facebook and thought I'd take the usual Never Have I Ever format and make it into questions that are easier to understand!

1. Have you ever had chicken pox?
I think so..  But I know our kids did.  All five kids came down with it, in staggered times, over 3 weeks.

2. Have you ever shopped in Home Depot?  Yes

3. Have you ever spied on your neighbors?
Yes and no.  I'm not an inveterate snooper, but occasionally I do check 'em out.

4. Have you ever ridden in a limo?
Only once--from the mortuary to my sister's gravesite.

5. Have you ever had a pet fish?  Hasn't everyone?

6. Have you ever lied about your age?
No.  I have always been proud of being as old as I am.  When I was under 21, I did occasionally lie in order to get into bars!

7. Have you ever fired a gun?  No

8. Have you ever been ice skating?
I took skating lessons one from Olympians Phyllis and Harris Legg. I was terrible at it, but I had a good time.

9. Have you ever played golfDoes miniature golf count?

10. Have you ever hidden on Halloween because you had no candy for trick or treaters?
Oh yes!  Actually more because it's such a hassle answering the door with two dogs wanting to run out and no way to corral them.  We haven't "done" trick or treating in many years.

11. Have you ever made a prank call
Probably, but I don't remember.

12. Have you ever gotten a tattoo?  Heavens, no!

13. Have you ever had a massage?
My daughter-in-law is a massage therapist and gave me a massage once after my bike accident.

14. Have you ever locked your keys in the car?
I don't know that I have locked my keys in the car, but I was at a gas station once, with two dogs in the car and while I was filling the tank, one of the dogs got excited and was trying to get out the window (which was closed) and stepped on the button to lock the door.  Fortunately the gas station attendant was able had the tools to break into the car.  I've never left my keys in the car while I pump gas since!

15. Have you ever ridden a horse?
A couple of times on vacation.  I always wanted to learn to ride a horse, but there are few affordable options when you live in a city.

16. Have you ever been to the circus?
My parents took me as a kid and you used to be able to wander around and see the non-dangerous animals afterwards (I once fed an empty peanuts bag to an elephant).  We took our kids once or twice, but prices were too high for a family of 7.  Now, when I think of circuses, I think of animal cruelty and it spoils the memories for me.

17. Have you ever been to Europe?  Yes, several times.

18. Have you ever built a fire?
Well, not like they do on Survivor, but I have laid a fire in a fireplace and even tried to learn how to light a peat fire in a cottage in Ireland (I was not good at it!)

19. Have you ever been skydiving?  Heavens no!

20. Have you ever bought something at a garage sale?
I don't frequent garage sales, but have bought a few things from time to time.

21. Have you ever walked in on someone having sex?  Not that I knew of!

22. Have you ever faked an injury to get out of something? Probably

23. Have you ever been to a nude beach?
I think there were nudes on the beach when we were in Nice, France.  But never a nude beach per se.

24. Have you ever received a speeding ticket?
No, thank goodness, but I managed to talk my way out of two of them.

25. Have you ever run a marathon?
I can barely hobble to the end of our driveway, so...no.  I did once walk a few miles to raise money for AIDS, but that was a long time ago.
