01 What is the worst nickname that anyone has ever called you?
I'm sure that at some point in my life someone must have called me "fatty," but I have no memory of it.  My poor mother, as a teenager, was called "Chub" by a guy who was renting a room from her parents.  Her sister, who was a great one for nicknames pounced on it and my mother remains "Chubbie" to everyone in her family to this day.  I was a teenager before I realized that Chubbie wasn't just a normal name.

Someone who disagreed with a review I wrote called me a "bitter hack" and I embraced it; made it the name of the blog where I post all my  reviews.

02 Have you got a favorite flower?
I love yellow roses, which were Judy Garland's favorites.  I also like red roses, especially if they have a rose smell to them, as most roses you buy in florist shops no longer do.

03 Do you add a sauce, ketchup or other artificial flavorings to your food?
I have ketchup on some things, but basically I like my food untainted.  Not even tartar sauce for fish 'n' chips.

04 Describe yourself using only words that begin with the letter 'T'.
Thoughtful, timid, typist, transcriptionist, theater critic

05 What is/was your partner's pet name for you?
He doesn't have one.

06 What is your least favorite color?
orange or chartreuse

07 Who did you vote for in the last election, and did they win?
I voted for Hillary.  I now have nightmares about the future of this country.

08 What is/was your grandfathers’ names?
One was named Albert, the other was named Stuart.

09 What is the best present you ever received?
Walt gave me my Kitchen Aid mixer sometime in the 1970s.  It's still the workhorse of our kitchen.  I use it often and it has only needed repair once in >30 years.

10 What is 17 1/2% of 97 + 42 x (6 / 2) – 137 ? [Editor's note: Holy shit!]
Surely you jest!  It gives me the shivers just to READ that.

11 What would be the best possible way you could die?
In my sleep, of course.  I don't mind dying.  I just don't want to be there when I do.

12 Given the choice of absolutely anything, what would be your dream job?
Well, I'm retired, but if I could get a salary (other than Social Security), that would be very nice.

13 What position do you sleep in at night?
I sleep on my right side (can't roll over because I'm on a couch and there is no room for tossing and turning)

14 What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?
A toss-up between the time I ripped my pants on a tree branch and had to walk home 3 blocks with a big rip in my pants (I was in grammar school), and the time we got home from a show and I was more drunk than I realized, tripped on my fancy sequined long dress and fell flat on my face on the stairs in front of the very proper British gentleman from our babysitting co-op who had been babysitting.

15 Who is your favorite fictional character?
Claire and Jamie Frasier

16 What food do you hate most in the world?
Liver.  Don't tell me I haven't had it with enough bacon or enough onion...there is no amount of onion or bacon that can cover up that terrible taste and texture.

17 When was the last time you were ill?
I can't remember the last time I was sick.  Colds yes, but something with a fever that knocked me out? it's been years.

18 If you were transformed into a wild creature, what would it be?
Oh definitely an elephant.  I really want to learn about elephant society.

19 What was your favorite toy as a child, and whatever happened to it?
I don't remember a favorite toy, but I'm sure my mother tossed it out without asking me, because I wasn't living at home any more.

20 What's the most amazing thing you've ever seen?
Oh gosh...we've been so many places and seen such amazing things.  Of things I've seen live, I'd have to say the Pinnacles Desert in Australia.  But I've also seen amazing things on TV too.  Just last week I watched a group of spider monkeys grieving the death of what they thought was a baby (in reality a Nat'l Geographic camera hidden in a robot baby monkey shaped creature).  It was so incredible.  They all stood around, touched the body gently and actually hugged each other in comfort.
