SUNDAY STEALING

30 November 2015

1) Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself?
Causasian, Irish-Scottish-German descent

2) Is there a culture you cannot claim heritage from but which you feel quite close to?
Brasilian.

3) What's one language you wish you knew fluently?
A toss-up between French and Portuguese, both of which I know a teeny bit.  Or Spanish, which would be the most useful, living in California.

4) If you could move anywhere in the world and be guaranteed a job, etc., where would you go?
Where else could I go and be guaranteed retirement?

5) If you had a time machine, and could witness any one event without altering or disturbing it, what would you want to see?
The liberation of Auschwitz.

6) Have problems sleeping?
Only every night.

7) Are you free with your feelings?
Not always.

8) What is the one outfit/piece of clothing/accessory you own that makes you feel incredibly good whenever you wear it? Why?
I like the necklace that I always wear.  It says "Grandma" on the front and "a grandma's love is forever" on the back.  My granddaughters gave it to me on my 70th birthday.

9) What do you do to make yourself feel better when you're in a funk?
Watch TV.

10) Has anyone ever surprised you in a way that let you know you were special? How?
The kids went overboard to make a wonderful 50th anniversary party for Walt and me.  The event wasn't exactly a surprise, but the details certainly were.

11) When you are having a "good day," how do you spread the happiness to others?
I write letters.

12) What is one thing that puts you in a bad mood, no matter how good you were previously feeling?
Pretty much anything political!  Debates, news shows, talking heads, and especially anything by DonaldTrump.

13) Would you rather live in a world with or without technology such as computers, cars, airplanes, bombs?
Much as I am addicted to technology, if I could forget I ever had it, I'd rather return to the slower, happier time.

14) If you had to live without either heating in your house or air conditioning, which one would you keep?
AIR CONDITIONING!!!!

15) If you had to own five dogs, what kind would you get?
We already have a large terrier mix and a Chihuahua mix.  I would get three more shelter mutts but to get breed specific, I'd add to the list a golden retriever, collie and French bulldog along with their groomers and trainers!

PHOTO OF THE DAY
