SUNDAY STEALING

7 December 2014

1) Are you psychic in any way?
Not in any way whatsoever!

2) Are you a good dancer?
Not in any way whatsoever.  Once at an early Lawsuit concert, some guy shamed me into dancing in front of the group.  I was mortified untll Tom cam and rescued me.  I have been forever grateful to him for that.

3) Are you a good singer?
I used to be fair.  Sang in a number of choirs, but in my later years, I have a range of less than an octave and no power at all.

4) Are you a good cook?
I'm a pretty good cook.  I'm not afraid to try any recipe and have cooked my share of gourmet meals in my day.

5) Are you a good artist?
Nope.  There are a lot of artists in my family, but those artistic genes skipped me and landed on my kids.

6) Are you a good listener?
I'd like to think so

7) Are you a good public speaker?
I am terrified of public speaking, but I did learn in my La Leche League days that I am better extemporaneously than using a script.  Still, the last time I spoke "in public" was at my 70th birthday for the friends who had come...and I couldn't speak more than 2 sentences without getting all emotional.

8) Are you a good babysitter?
I raised five children, so I think so!

9) Are you a good mechanic?
My son Paul and I once drove to SF and were supposed to add oil halfway there and neither of us could find the oil tank.  I also tried to change a tire once and the car slipped off the jack in the mud.  So...no.

10) Are you a good diplomat?
I'd like to think so but I've lost so many friends for reasons of which I am unaware so I must not be.

11) Are you a good employee?
Sure.  I'm loyal and a hard worker, though I haven't been employed for many years now.

12) Are you a good dresser?
Nope.  My fashion sense is slightly better than my artistic sense, but not much.  I pretty much live in sweats and Birkenstocks.

13) Are you a good swimmer?
At one time I was.  I was surprised when I went swimming in Italy and discovered that didn't have nearly the strength I had 20 years ago.

14) Are you a good skier?
No.  I went skiing once and my boot fell apart, so I only made 2 runs down the bunny slope.

15) Are you a good gift giver?
I love giving gifts and finding the perfect gift for someone, especially if it's a surprise and not a special gift giving situation.

16) Are you a good musician?
No.  Those genes went to our kids too.

17) Are you a good comedian?
I can be funny, but not as a comedienne.

18) Are you a good cleaner?
Bwahahahaha.  Surely you jest.

19) Are you a good actor?
I was only in a play once and someone told me I wasn't bad (which does not translate into "good").  I am afraid of performing in public.

20) Are you a good writer?
I hope so.
