SUNDAY STEALING
August 10, 2014
Thirteen things
1. Outside my window
I look through the nose prints and paw
prints that Lizzie makes, leaping at the door when she wants in, to see Sheila lying on the
patio, under a bush, and the expanse of what would be lawn, if we didn't have dogs,
stretching out before me.
2. I am thankful
that Jeri called today and that we had such a
fun chat.
3. In the kitchen
there are two baskets of those wonderfully sinful (but not really)
orange tomatoes that are at the farmers market right now. As addictive as candy.
4. I am wearing
shorts, a blue shirt with "Luv a
Lizzie" on it" and dark brown zebra striped socks
5. I am creating
this entry
6. I am going
to be watching Outlander (episode 1) tonight...again.
7. I am reading
"The Man Who Loved Books Too Much"
8. I am learning
about things we will see on our 2015 Mediterranean cruise.
9. I am pondering
The pile on my desk which never seems to get any smaller, even
when I spend a day cleaning it up!
10. A favorite quote
Not sure it's a favorite, but one I found recently:
"It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain.
In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain
lessens. But it is never gone.
Rose Kennedy
11. One of my favorite things... Sunday Stealing, because it's the
day of the week when I don't have to wrack my brain to think of something to write about.
12. A few plans for the rest of the week
It's a busy start of week...Monday lunch
with someone from SwapBot, whom I have never met before; Tuesday lunch with the same
ladies I had lunch with last week, with the addition of at least one other; Wednesday I do
an interview for Davis Musical Theater's 30th anniversary; Thursday, of course, I am
working at Logos again and then Friday-Sunday have no plans.
13. A peek into my day
Pretty quiet today. Nothing on the calendar for the
whole weekend except watching Outlander tonight (as if I would forget and need to
put it on my calendar!) I watched a couple of episodes of Salamander on
Netflix, took a nap, chatted with Jeri, and just realized (4:30) that I never took
anything out of the freezer for dinner, so I am going to have to be creative. That's
about it for the day.
